Games We Play
“Team Elimination” – The objective of this game is to eliminate all the players on the other team. Players start with 2 to 9 lives depending on how long you want the games to last. Each teams starts at opposite ends of the battlefield. When the mission begins the soldiers cannot cross the middle line of the field for the first 2 – 4 minutes. Your Gamer Guide will let you know when you can move in for closer shotsl.” Which ever team survives wins.
“Get the Captain” – The objective of this game is to take out the Captain of the other team while protecting your Captain. Which ever team’s Captain survives, wins the game. The Captains each wear a yellow ribbon and get 9 lives. Everyone else is a soldier with only 5 lives. The teams must use strategy to win this game.
“Traitor” – This game is “Get the Captain” with a twist. The objective of this game is still to take out the Captain of the other team but now you must protect your Captain from the other team and the secret traitor or traitors within your own team. Captains still get 9 lives and the soldiers and traitor(s) get 5 lives. Be careful to not kill innocent soldiers on your own team.
“Search and Destroy” (played in wooded parks)– A small group of “Elites” are hiding in the battlefield. The larger “Army” team must hunt down and destroy this elite squad. The Elites typically get 10 lives and the Army gets 5 lives. The Army team has superior numbers but can not see the battlefield at the beginning of the game. The Elites are sneaky and get to deploy early, hopefully with a good plan.
“Adults vs. Kids” – This is always a hit at parties. The kids love shooting Mom, Dad and any other adults we can rope into playing. This is the ultimate politically incorrect game and is “disturbingly entertaining”.
“Capture the Flag” – The objective of this game is to capture your opponent’s flag and bring it back to your base. If you are killed carrying a flag you must drop it and go to the graveyard. To win your team must have both flags in your flag’s starting position. Very tough game with players only getting 2 lives.
“Predator” – This is a two stage game. The first part of the game is everyone against the “Predator”, usually the game-master. When the Predator is killed the whistle is blown a second time. The players then turn on each other in a game of last man standing or everyone for themselves. Small two person teams are allowed but do not get upset when your buddy shoots you in the back… there can only be one survivor. Winner gets bragging rights until the next party!
“Medic” – Each team is assigned a “medic”. The medic has 4 lives, everyone else has 1 life each. As long as your teams medic is still alive you can run to the Gamer Guide to get reset if your “dead”. When your medic is killed no one on your team can be reset. Of course the medics can never be reset. The object of the mission is to protect your medic while going after the other team’s medic.
“Bounty Hunter” - Each player has a token or candy. When you kill a player, that player stands still and holds out his prize, whoever gets to it, gets to keep it. Players only give up one prize when shot. Play can go on indefinitely until a player has all the prizes (with recycle at a certain location) or until everyone is dead. The Set Up: Every player must have a prize to play. (You can do this with monopoly money, by the way). No teams, no time limit. All players start out equal, given time to spread out equally over the playing field. A whistle is sounded. Play is normal with players attempting to remove any other players. When a player is shot and killed that player pulls his one prize out of his pocket, stands at attention with his right hand holding the prize. Any player reaching the player and grabbing the prize becomes the new permanent owner. Variant: If you’ve captured others prizes when your eliminated you have to hold them all out.
Paintball Style - Everyone shoots their laser down to 1 hit remaining. People play a lot more carefully with only one life.
Quick Draw - Players start out 30 feet apart back to back. A third person yells “go” and see who is the quickest gun in the west.
Defender - Split the players up into 3 even sized teams. Each team takes turns defending a position against the other 2 teams. Whichever team can hold onto it the longest is the winner.
